An Important Ticket You Must Pay
Some students, more importantly teenagers, may have an important ticket to go see a movie that they need to do for school. Honestly your parents won’t believe that especially if you have been thinking of a way to get out of the house all week to be released from grounding. As a teenager you have to think of ways to let your parents go to the movies.
You might have to go to the movies for a homework assignment because your teacher might want you to watch a movie that has just been released and you may have to write a paper on it, so it’s very important that you go so you can get a good grade on this assignment. You also may think of it has a perfect opportunity to get out of the house even if it is for a school assignment.
Since you may have been thinking of any excuse out of the book to get out of being grounded so you can go hang out at a friends house or go to a party, your parents are not going to believe you that you have to go to the movies for a homework assignment. However, they might believe you if you show them the paper you brought home from school
If you bring home a paper with the directions for the assignment, then your parents will be able to read it over to see all the details. Unfortunately they still might not let you go because they may not fully trust you especially if you have not had the best attitude and you have not shown your parents any respect.
They may not trust you to go to the movies alone because with your history lately they may be afraid that you won’t come straight home from the movies and they may offer to take you and go see it with you. Especially teenagers get so embarrassed when they arrive at the movies with their mom and all of their friends are there to see them.
Some parents may have read the due date on the paper and let them know they will be able to go next week and still have plenty of time to work on it before it’s due. That may be a little harsh. What you might want to do is release your grounding so you can go to the movies to do your homework assignment and they will put you on an extra day of grounding to make up for the day you went to the movies. That way if they choose to disobey you and go somewhere else after the movies, then you might want to give them a couple extra days of grounding.
Parents can ground teenagers even though they may feel like they’re too old, but they should expect it the way they’re sneaking off with an important ticket to see a concert.
