What can you do to help you through the writing drought due to writers block? Though some people refuse to accept that such exists it is always helpful when you have some ace up your sleeve when they come.

If you need things done you need to plan. Plan when to write and follow it to the letter.

Nothing starts perfect. Why cross a bridge before you reach it. Criticize when you are done writing.

Do you want it done all at once? Your brain needs time to relax and get creative hence just write in small manageable pieces. Write your Christmas and birthdays cards and notes over a long duration.

The use of deadlines is another trick. Set the deadlines and once you beat them always remember to reward yourself. For example you may set a goal to write 2 letters in 45 minutes and once you accomplish that take 10 minutes coffee break before embarking on the next project. This will take you a long way.

What are the feelings of the recipients? What impression does my potential employer get? What about that person I care about how does this make them feel? Remembering why you are writing makes you to Cleary express yourself.
