Installing Chandeliers In A Space House
Every day comes closer and closer the possibility of having a house in a place located out of the earth. It is easier now than before to think about it and also to have an idea as of how the every day life would be in such a situation. We have seen how a group of people lives in a place out of the earth without the effect of the law of the gravity force. It is like traveling to a different dimension. It is an amazing situation.
Following our forecasting about making a living in the space we will need to redesign several common aspects of such a living. Installing a chandelier will require a revised chandelier and installation method. When we have the gravity force, this force makes the chandeliers behave as we are used to see them. When we do not have the gravity force, the same chandelier will have a quite different behavior.
We may already know how to install a chandelier very well. But that knowledge and experience works for chandeliers designed and installed under the authority of the law of the gravity force. Al the processes such as designing, manufacturing and installation of the chandelier, are under the same law. If we run away that law then those processes need to be revised due to they will not produce the same final result if reproduced exactly the same way.
When we are in the outer space we are not affected by the gravity force, so we need to design devices to work under that condition. We also need to design tools to work with such devices on the same conditions. The chandeliers that hang from the ceiling in our earthy house remain stiff because of this force. They can be flexible and will remain stretched as long as no other force acts on them. That is not going to happen in our space home.
Chandeliers to be installed in a space home need to be rigid unless you want them to have a free shape. If they have flexible parts, those parts will be under no external force and will freely flow around the room, just attached to the other parts of the chandelier. If it is not stick to the ceiling, then the whole item will be moving without control. If you would like it not to loose the form, then you need to build it with rigid materials.
When you need a tool you better have it in hand in your space home, otherwise you will need to travel several millions of miles to the next hardware store. Once you decide to move out of the earth make sure you include a good set of light tools to save some fuel by moving lower weights. Even though the tools are light they need to be strong enough to prevent them from breaking. It will not be a good situation if you end up with a bunch of broken tools.
