The funny thing is i had now idea what she looked like. Since the show wasn’t on TV back then, I never had the chance to see any images of her. It wasn’t until her TV show aired that I got to see how tall she was. At that point i began to question her gender because of her odd mannerisms and over-the-top antics on stage.
The moment that stands out most in my memory dates back to 2009. My entire family and I were hanging out on the couch watch the Wendy Williams show. My son was sick from school that day and my husbands parents were in town for the week. The show came on and I think it was the first time my husbands parents had seen the show. The look on their faces told the story more than anything else. The kicker was when my son actually asked – “Is Wendy Williams a man?”.
