Love life in a furniture factory

My name is Mei-Lu Chan, I live in mainland China. I am 38 years old and live in Fujian province,and work in a furniture factory. In the factory we make pine furniture for the export market,I work in the farmhouse table section of the factory, and have worked there since leaving school. Our tables go all over Europe , and our main market is America.

I have always dreamed of marriage, and so far I haven’t been lucky. My friends are supportive, but tell me I am not attractive enough for a husband. The problem is with my teeth. They stick out a lot, and are black . I have been saving to go to a dentist. Each time I go, more work is carried out and my teeth are almost perfect.

I have never had a boyfriend, because of my lack of confidence, however the more relaxed I feel, the better I feel about myself,and my chances of fulfilling my dreams come nearer.

There is a man I like who is not married,he works in the pine wardrobe section, I make sure I walk passed him as often as I can. He is very talented,and would make a good father, He is older than me,and loosing his hair,but I love him. I always walk slowly passed him and, sometimes bump into him,or pretend to fall over,I try to get him to pick me up of the floor ,he has not done this yet,but I keep trying.

Everything changed last week. I walked past his section, and his back was facing me. I threw a piece of wood at him, and it him harder then I had meant. He fell to the floor. I ran over and helped him up, and tended to the cut. He looked at me and thanked me for helping him. He told me I was beautiful, and that he had been too shy to talk to me. Before we could change our minds, we married that afternoon and have been happy ever since.
