Inspection and maintenance of your tires is essential to keep them and you vehicle in proper working order for as long as possible.

Inflate tires as needed (usually monthly).

#Did you know that under normal driving conditions, an average car tire can lose up to one psi(pounds per square inch) every month? According to Michelinman.com, this occurs in a normal passenger car tire, which is properly inflated to 35 psi. That’s why it’s so important to be sure to check your tires pressure at least one a month. This should be done when the car is cold or before start to drive it. Edmunds.com reports that under-inflated tires can affect several things. Not only is this a safety hazard, but it can also adversely affect the handling and performance of your automobile. Its just as important to properly inflate your spare tire. Know Your PSI

Every auto gives a recommendation as to the proper tire psi. So looking on the tire may not be accurate for your particular vehicle. Rather, you should check your vehicle’s manual, inside the fuel door, inside the glove box, or on the door jamb to get the right tire pressure for your vehicle. Check the valve caps.

They can help significantly reduce slow leaks. With time, deterioration of rubber can occur, allowing slow leaks. Having good valve caps will help keep a tighter seal and prolong air pressure.

Regularly Rotate Your Tires

Michelinman.com suggests that Michelin tires be rotated every six to eight thousand miles, preferably by a Michelin tire store or professional mechanic. Having your tires rotated, and alternating your wheels, will ensure a more even wear pattern. Routinely rotating the tires will make them last much longer, giving you more cash and time. Maintain you alignment.

#Does your car veer to one side or the other, even on a flat road? If this happens when you take your hand off the wheel for a split second, then you need to bring your car into your local mechanic or Michelin shop so they can check the alignment. Make Sure to Check Tire Balance Too

#A tire is considered out of balance when one part of a tire that has been put on the wheel assembly is heavier than the others. When you balance your tires, this unevenness is adjusted, ensuring that your tire treads wear normally.
