Sony’s Columbia Pictures recently released their new action movie “The Green Hornet” into theaters. I got a chance to see it,and it turned out to be even better than I originally thought it would be,especially in the action department. It really showed nonstop action throughout the movie. The movie stars: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, and Tom Wilkinson.

The movie centered around characters Britt Reed aka Green Hornet (Seth Rogen) and Kato (John Cho). Britt Reed spent his early life partying on his rich father’s money, while Kato worked as a mechanic for Britt’s father, and he also made a great cup of coffee.

Britt’s father unfortunately dies from a reported bee sting that he was highly allergic to. Then Britt took control of everything his father owned, which included his very successful newspaper. Britt decides to leave the paper in control of his father’s trusted partner,so he can do other crazy things. He eventually meets and befriends Kato after he realizes his coffee doesn’t taste good anymore due to Kato getting fired.

The two unlikely partners eventually start fighting crime together as the Green Hornet and Kato after Britt discovers that Kato knows how kick butt, along with being a great mechanic and coffee brewer. They also enlist the very pretty Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz) to be their journalist at the paper. However, they soon discover that the paper was largely being controlled by a criminal conspiracy, which ultimately led to his father’s death.

This fact eventually led to a super,action-filled conclusion, which left a whole bunch of stuff torn up and blown up. The movie was great as it featured car chases, gun shootouts, comical moments, fighting, and more. Cameron Diaz’s character even got a few kicks and punches in. Also, Britt and Kato’s relationship was not without its bumps in the road as they had to duke it out in a very intense scene,so it delivered great drama as well.

I totally thought John Cho really did a marvelous job playing the role of Kato. Seth was good as the awkward Green Hornet, and Cameron Diaz was tough as well as beautiful.
