It’s hard to imagine a planet like ours without atmosphere after the eons of time this has occurred. It’s even been suggested by Nobel Prize winners that Mars, as we know it today, was once a planet like earth. One can only imagine the universal cataclysm that might have occurred in order for Mars to completely loose its atmosphere.

Now try to imagine earth with weather formations. Imagine the earth with its atmosphere (weather styles) but with no sun. For example, without the sun, at our planet would likely freeze solid. The power of solar heat (from our sun) interacts with our atmosphere creates an air mass, causing various circulatory patterns. In the northern hemisphere there s circulatory pattern is often referred to as the jet stream. These circulatory weather formations create pressure against one another. We know it as wind. That which we call air, as all are matter, is composed of what scientist call molecules that vibrate constantly. This might be called the foundation of weather styles. This means your weather types are definitely greatest when you nearer to the planet’s surface. This air pressure gets lighter when it rises.

Did you know that your pressure is measured in millibars or hectopascals in the range of from 980 to 1040 hectopascals? This depends upon local conditions. When air molecules constantly move about, they do so at different speeds. Under warmer conditions, the mass of air will vibrate rapidly and expand. The air mass will begin to rise to higher altitudes. In meteorological terms, this process is known as convection.

The real cause of Earth’s seasons is the fact that the planet is tilted about 23.5 degrees on its axis. The earth tilts and orbits around the sun, different parts of the Earth are tilted closer to the sun. The planet gets different amounts of light and heat during the year. The North Pole (the Northern Hemisphere) faces away from the sun in December. The result is less daylight that means lower temperatures.

As the Earth moves along its orbital path, the Earth’s tilt puts the North Pole close to the sun. The Earth continues its yearly weather formations moving around the sun, until the winter solstice on December 21st.

All of this movement a monk’s the air molecules causes what we call wind. The greater the difference in vibration between the two air masses causes the different strengths in wind. Our planet earth is located third from the sun. Your weather style may spin once every 24 hours. The cycle takes one calendar year, in order to complete. Because of the titled orbit of the earth which takes it around the sun, there are times when the sun will appear closer.
