Disney Pictures recently released their new awesome, sci-fi,action flick “TRON Legacy” into theaters. I checked it out, and thought it was really good.

The intriguing storyline and innovative action scenes kept me totally interested in it the entire time. The movie stars: Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett, and Michael Sheen.

The movie revolved around character Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) who is a pretty wild guy that likes to pull pranks on his father’s company with no goals of ever taking it over. He also wonders where his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) disappeared to when he was a child.

Sam ends up getting a strange pager message, which leads him to his father’s arcade building he was at before he disappeared, and he discovers a secret project his father was working on. Shortly after that, he accidentally activates the portal and it takes him to a place called the grid,a fantasy world that his father built before it was taken over by a program he created called Clu.

Clu looked like Kevin Flynn, but he was definitely not Kevin Flynn. He apparently turned against Kevin, and wanted to get his hands on a disk of his that would show him how to get into the real world. Kevin couldn’t let that happen,so he went away into hiding, causing him to become a prisoner in the world he created, many years ago.

After experiencing a little bit of the crazy world,Sam eventually finds his father Kevin, and they figure out a way to escape the grid without Clu getting a hold of the disk. However it wasn’t easy as they faced crazy motorcycle attacks, space ship attacks, and lots of physical fighting. The scenes were excellent and cool. It was very interesting movie to watch.

It featured scenes of a younger Jeff Bridges as his enemy Clu looked just like him,but never aged a year. Twilight Saga star Michael Sheen made an appearance in the movie as the evil Castor/Zuse character who really enjoyed playing tricks. It was a very cool 3D viewing experience.
