Fox released a new drama movie “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” into theaters a couple of months ago. I just got through checking it out the other day,and I agree with the top critics’ positive review of the film.

The movie delivered an interesting storyline, which was filled with lots of drama, money scandals, and more. The film stars: Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Frank Langella, Carey Mulligan, Susan Sarandon, Vanessa Ferlito, and Charlie Sheen.

The movie revolved around character Jake Moore who worked for character Louis Zabel at his firm. Unfortunately, when character Bretton James who works for another bank, spreads a bad rumor about Zabel’s company, everything collapses, which causes Jake to loose his job, along with a ton of other people that worked in the company.

Later on in the film, Gordon Gekko gets released from prison after serving 8 long years, and ends up starting a bit of a friendly relationship with Jake. Jake in an effort to get back at Bretton, starts a negative rumor of his own about his company that captures Bretton’s attention when it costs him money. The attention gets Jake a position with Bretton’s company. However, that business relationship doesn’t last very long after Jake finds out just how bad and conniving Bretton truly is.

Jake stops working there, and tries to invest in a new, breakthrough energy company, but gets double-crossed by Gordon, and loses his girlfriend Winnie Gekko (Mulligan) in the process. It caps off with a surprising ending that includes scandals being brought to the surface, and an unlikely charitable deed by Gekko.

I really liked watching Wall Street 2. The storyline kept me intrigued the whole time. It delivered one money scandal after another in the very quick-paced world of Wall Street, along with intense drama scenes with the very sensitive Winnie Gekko character who always seemed to get upset pretty easily at just about everything. She did have some happy moments, though.

In my opinion, Michael Douglas did a great job reprising the Gordon Gekko role. I gave this move a very good B grade.
